The Story

Follow protagonist Elaine and her peculiar visions as she wrangles mature social issues, works to uncover a mystery, and tackles her inner demons.

Season two, coming in September 2017, will continue Elaine and Chelsea’s journey with more drama, comedy, tragedy, and suspense.

Luna Madison 1Luna Madison (Elaine)
Luna Madison is a relatively new actor, with most of her theater experience being backstage.  She found her start in acting at a community theater in the Cincinnati area in 2012 and has since gone on to be part of a handful of short films and a web series, with Unwritten being her first role in voice acting.

Sean GuntherSean Gunther (Narrator)
After 25+ stage productions in just as many years, Sean Gunther had a blast during his first experience with the “recording arts.” When he is not pursuing a career in radio, he is active in community theater, mowing his lawn and exploring the local bike trails. His hobbies include taking classes at Wright State University, with an eye on eventually graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He is grateful to the producers Chris and Megan for giving him this opportunity, to the cast for putting up with his shenanigans, to the audience for enduring his aural ululations, and to his wife for her limitless patience and support (and occasional donations of gas money)!

Jordan LopezJordan Lopez (Chelsea)
Jordan Lopez is a theater enthusiast portraying the role of Chelsea Wu. Jordan graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2012 with a Bachelors in Communications and Public Relations. In 2013, she moved to Dayton, OH, and married her husband, Aaron, in 2014. This is Jordan Lopez’s first voice acting project, but far from her first acting experience! Lopez has been acting since third grade, with her most recent role being Trisha in “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress,” at Playhouse South. Her current projects include assistant directing and prop design for “She Kills Monsters” at Playhouse South.

David Senatore 1David Senatore (Gerald)
David Senatore has worked for professional and community theaters in Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Kentucky as an actor, director and costume designer; as well as doing commercial voice work for radio.  Currently, he can be heard voicing children’s puppet shows for the Miamisburg library.  He recently relocated to the Dayton area from Lexington, KY, to work for the Dayton Metro Library system.  Unwritten is his first venture into the Dayton arts scene, and he thanks the Dayton Writer’s Movement for the opportunity.

ZackZack Duncan (August)
Zack is an aspiring actor from Middletown, OH. Zack has experience on stage, in front of the camera, and in comedy scenes like standup and improv, where he performs weekly at The Black Box Improv Theater here in Dayton. This is Zack’s first time doing voice-over work and he wasn’t sure what to expect. Thankfully the entire process was an amazing experience which couldn’t have been completed without the incredibly talented writers that made this production possible.

AdrianMiller100Adrian Miller (Dr. Lemon, Leda’s Mother)
Adrian is happy to finally put her psych degree to use as a pretend psychologist. She is a lifelong theatre geek with an equally useful degree in theatre, which is where she got her smooth radio voice and a ton of student debt. Adrian‘s parents are very proud that she is finally doing something they can show off to their friends besides some blurry photos of her performing stand up at dive bars.

Anna_100Anna Adami (Sydney – Season 1)
Anna Adami is an MFAW candidate at the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago. She spent the past year in Austin, Texas teaching GED Preparation at a non-profit for youth transitioning out of homelessness and trauma. She earned her BA in English at the University of Dayton. She hopes to continue pursuing projects that fuse education, human rights, and creative expression.

Sarah AmmarSarah Ammar (Frida, Victim, Boleyn, Aphrodite)
Sarah Ammar is delighted to legitimize her hobby of doing voices and playing make-believe through the arts. She began performing in 2013 at the Washington Improv Theater in D.C., has performed in New York City, and now she teaches classes and improvises weekly as a regular cast member of Fever Dream at the Black Box Theater in downtown Dayton. She’s excited that her role as Frida (and Victim Number 2!) was her first official foray into voice-acting, another creative path she’s exploring.

MatthewBernardMatthew Barnard (Business Man)
Matthew Barnard studied improv, sketch, sitcom and stand-up comedy in Hollywood where he performed in various theatrical and stage shows before he created, wrote, produced and co-starred in his first comedy web series Spin The Bottle, with almost 150,000 views on Youtube.  He has newly written projects in the pipeline that he hopes to produce and direct in the future.

NickNick Bellmyer (Riley)
Nick is a current resident of Mason, Ohio, and works in Human Resources. This is Nick’s first time participating in a podcast. Nick spends most of his free time participating in plays and musicals with Playhouse South in Kettering, Ohio. He recently directed Once Upon a Mattress and appeared in Heathers The Musical, She Kills Monsters, and The Music Man.

SandyColemanSandy Coleman (Sue – Season 1, Michelle, Franklin)
Sandy is thrilled to be performing in her first podcast and thanks the Dayton Writers Movement wholeheartedly for their collaborative approach to this project. Her previous experience includes roles in The Willow and I with The Lebanon Theatre, The Diary of Anne Frank at Dayton Playhouse, 9 to 5, the Musical with Playhouse South Community Theatre, and Little Shop of Horrors with the Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre. Sandy is a Registered Nurse at the Dayton VA Medical Center.

TraeTrae Craggette (Mike, Darren)
Trae is a comedian and programmer based in Dayton. He has been doing improvisation and sketch comedy since he was 18 and can be found performing improv at the Black Box Improv Theatre. Trae is one of the founding members of the sketch group, 42nd City, where he’s an actor, producer, and audio engineer. When he isn’t performing comedy he can be found at Sinclair Community College where he studies Web Development.

Stephen CrumpStephen Crump (Paul, Radio Voice)
Stephen Crump stumbled upon the tryouts by accident and couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of something so unique and interesting. Past work was primarily editing video and working behind the soundboard. Local productions are to blame for getting his acting dreams started. Working with the cast and writers has been fantastic.

Aaron Eechaute Lopez 2Aaron Eechaute-Lopez (Jay, Sean, Reporter, Brad)
Aaron Eechaute-Lopez is in his second year as a teacher at Miami Valley School in Dayton. His wife, Jordan, portrays Chelsea in the podcast! He is very involved in local community theatre, having both performed and directed at Playhouse South in Kettering. He serves as an at-large member of the Playhouse South board of directors and is very excited to direct Rock of Ages next spring.

HopeHope Ezell (Sarah)
Hope Ezell is a sophomore studying to become a music therapist and elementary school teacher at Cleveland State University. After she graduates, she would like to work for an inner-city public school, while in addition, she hopes to work for Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, and Cartoon Network as a freelance voiceover artist someday. In her spare time, she plays the double bass, decorates cakes, and plays with her dogs. She is extremely grateful to be apart of such an amazing production!

JadenFineJaden Fine (Dylan)
Jaden is so excited to be a part of Unwritten! Jaden has acted before as a performer at the Black Box Improv Theater in Dayton, and he is currently attending the University of Cincinnati as a freshman majoring in Environmental Studies. He has been an actor since his first-grade school play “It’s a Jungle Out There” and has enjoyed every minute of it. When he is not busy acting or with schoolwork, Jaden enjoys reading and playing music on his clarinet. He is so happy to have been a part of Unwritten and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.

DaveGaylorDavid Gaylor (Hemingway, Richard)
David Gaylor is a local Dayton-area performer (stage and film) who has the privilege and pleasure of lending his voice acting skills for Unwritten. David’s performances include stage productions with the Dayton Playhouse, Dayton Theatre Guild, and Beavercreek Theatre, among others. His performance in the NPR On Line 2015 International Short Film Competition Winner – Sinner Victim SaintWestern World film available on Amazon Prime, and a second western feature Brimstone Saintare to be released early 2018 are additional performance credits, besides this special podcast, for which he is most proud. David and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Springfield, Ohio.

Jennie_100Jennie Hawley (Sue – Season 2)
Jennie Hawley has been involved in theater and the performing arts for over 25 years, both in Dayton, Ohio and in Phoenix Arizona.  She has appeared on stage at the Dayton Playhouse, the Theater Guild and Beavercreek Community Theater.  Unwritten is her first foray into voice acting, where she thoroughly enjoyed bringing Sue to life.  As always, she is grateful to her family for their love and support and extremely thankful to the listening audience of Unwritten.

EmilyEmily Kallenberg (Leda, Victim, Shelley, Tillie)
After taking an acting hiatus Emily is happy to be performing once again.  Emily has been working with children in the city of Dayton both as an educator and as a theatre director since she graduated from the University of Dayton in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre.   Emily has had a blast being a part of this wonderful, important project and would like to thank everyone who had a hand in creating it!

StephenStephen Kallenberg (Picasso, Dracula, Some Dude, Brian) 
Stephen Kallenberg received a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, English, and Spanish from the University of Dayton in 2012.  Stephen lives in Dayton, Ohio, with his wife and their two pups while pursuing an acting career. Stephen has performed with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Sinclair, and of course UD. Some of his film credits include Diver City, Pharaoh’s Secret, and Kill Game. He has enjoyed working with such a talented bunch of writers and actors and would like to thank the Dayton Writers Movement for including him in this new adventure!

lockwood11 08Dodie Lockwood (Prof. Lincoln, Aunt Ellen)
Over the past 50 years, Dodie Lockwood has appeared on most Dayton area stages, including Dayton Playhouse, The Human Race, and Dayton Theatre Guild.  She is an actress and director, and has been inducted into the Dayton Theatre Hall of Fame.  Dodie is a writer and lives in Washington Township.  Dodie is proud of her two extremely talented children and happy to report that her two grandchildren also seem drawn to the stage.  Dodie is very excited to be participating in her second podcast with Dayton Writers Movement.

Doug_100Doug Lowe (Poe)
Doug Lowe started his acting career at 42 with the role of Jonathan Brewster in the Troy Civic Theatre production of Arsenic and Old Lace in 2015, then the roles of Jimmy, Lendall, and “man” in Almost, Maine a year later. The Unwritten Podcast is Doug’s introduction to voice acting, and he couldn’t be more excited at the opportunity to work on such a socially important show, with such a talented cast. Doug plans to continue his acting career in theatre, voice, and locally produced film.

Tim_100Tim Madden (Max) 
First exposed to acting by his parents as a little kid, he’s always enjoyed theater. After many years of being involved on-stage and backstage, most recently assistant directing Women Playing Hamlet with Playhouse South, Tim is excited for the new adventure of voice acting! A graduate of The Sage Colleges from Albany, NY with a degree in Applied Biology, when he’s not at the theater Tim works as a Firefighter/EMT-Basic for the cities of Englewood and West Carrollton. He is currently pursuing his certification as a Paramedic.

NickNawrothNicholas Nawroth (Ronald)
Nicholas Nawroth has always been a creative type, from making his own comic books as a child to his career as a graphic designer. Always up for new experiences, he fell in love with improv in 2014, where he met his wife. Nicholas has always wanted to try voice acting and is happy and proud to be living this dream by being a part of Unwritten.

JoeOliveriJoe Oliveri (Greg, Cheese Man, Speed Dater)
Joe is a grad student at the University of Dayton. He enjoys playing music, making funny, and eating food. He hopes you hate ‘Greg’ and that you love ‘Large Man’ and his cheese shenanigans.

Connor Peterson (Cassidy, Male Customer)
Connor Peterson is the husband of fellow Unwritten Season 2 performer Carly Risenhoover-Peterson.  His performance credits include some stuff in high school, and a top 300,000,000,000 youtube channel!  There are no known photographs of Connor, but he bears a striking resemblance to 19th century French farcicist Georges Feydeau.

Chris PetreeChris Petree (Freud, Sherlock)
Chris Petree is a graduate of Heidelberg College and is on his final semester at the International College of Broadcasting, ready to begin a career as a Videographer. He has appeared in several local stage productions, including Arsenic And Old Lace with Playhouse South, The Columnist and All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce Of 1914 with the Dayton Theatre Guild, and Oklahoma! with Dayton Playhouse.

ThomasPuckettThomas Puckett (Barista, Detective Mac, Speed Dater)
Thomas Puckett is a current Theatre Performance Major at Sinclair Community College. The Unwritten podcast is his first professional voice acting job and has been enjoying being a part of the wonderful group that is the Dayton Writers Movement. Thomas’s most recent works include Jonathan Harker in Dracula, Orcus in She Kills Monsters, and Cheswick in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, all at Sinclair. He hopes to graduate with an Associates Degree in Theatre Performance and continue pursuing all types of theatre afterward.

Carly Risenhoover-Peterson (Alexa, Wharton)
Carly Risenhoover-Peterson studied theatre at the University of Oklahoma before moving to beautiful Dayton, OH.  She has appeared in local theatre productions with Brookville Community Theatre, Dayton Theatre Guild, and most frequently Playhouse South.  An avid podcast listener, her favorites include My Favorite Murder, My Brother My Brother and Me, and, of course, Unwritten!

Liz is excited to be back for season 2 of Unwritten! Liz currently lives in Cincinnati and is a full-time graduate student at Xavier University. She has been involved in Irish Dancing for over 15 years and enjoys performing on stage as well as at competitions. In her free time, she enjoys live music, cooking, and hiking with her Jack Russell Terrier.

SamanthaRuss-100Samantha Russell (Ida B. Wells)
Samantha (Sam) Russell, a Cincinnati native, graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Sociology along with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Samantha has trained all over the Tri-State and recently completed the Professional Acting Apprenticeship Program at Ensemble Theatre, where she earned her first regional theatre credits performing as Socrates in the world premiere of Cinderella After Ever After and Antigone in Antigone (Born Against.). Some of her favorite theatre credits include Coretta in Coretta Scott King and the Fight for Freedom, Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Nettie in The Color Purple, Cincinnati Black Theatre Company, and Hilda in Other Bother, Performance Gallery. When she is not on stage you will catch her behind the camera, her recent supporting role in the feature film All or Nothin’ is expected to release in October 2017. Err_100Erin Ryan (Maggie)
Erin is a native Dayton resident who’s appeared in a few productions most notably at Brookville Community Theatre. In the past four years, however, she has shifted her focus to local film. She is a life-long “horror-nerd” and while she has been lucky enough to play many roles, the spooky ones have been some of her favorites. Unwritten is Erin’s first attempt at voice work. She is so grateful and proud to be a part of it!

AmandaS_100Amanda Schrader (Syndey – Season 2)
Amanda Schrader is an electrical engineer originally from Columbus, Ohio.  Unwritten marks her first voice acting project, and she is thrilled to have this opportunity.  After ten years away from acting, Amanda has found a new theater community in Dayton and has recently appeared in Playhouse South’s She Kills Monsters, William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and their upcoming production of Women Playing Hamlet.  Amanda would like to thank everyone at Dayton Writer’s Movement for making season 2 of Unwritten such an awesome experience.

Don_100Donald Smith (Chuck)
Donald Smith is an HVAC Technician turned entertainer.  He began performing in local theatre fifteen years ago.  With a continuing love of the stage, he has been performing standup comedy in local bars and clubs for the past few years, while acting in films during his downtime.  He also hosts The Life Radio Show on WWSU 106.9FM with a podcast available at thelife1069.podbean.com.  Don has a BA in Creative Writing from Wright State University and is currently a full-time graduate student at Wright State working toward his MBA.

Shyra Thomas’ passion for the arts began at an early age. She performs both on stage and film.She has been wanting to explore voice acting for some time and stumbled across this amazing opportunity with the Unwritten podcast.She enjoys singing, dancing, poetry, and styling among many other creative outlets. She feels truly grateful to explore another creative pathway and to be apart of such a great production, which such amazing local talent!

Carrie is a graduate of Wright State University’s Design Technology Department with a degree in Stage Management. Currently, she is working on Women Playing Hamlet at Playhouse South where she is also the Vice President on their Board of Directors. Carrie is usually seen backstage, directing or stage managing. Unwritten marks her first audio only acting.

Norb_100Norb Wessels (Devin)
Norb Wessels is a Law Student at the University of Cincinnati. He previously attended the University of Dayton for undergrad where he honed his academic and theatrical abilities. This is his second time performing as a voice actor, and he hopes to do justice to the character of Devin. He would like to thank Megan and Chris for giving him the opportunity to be a part of this amazing project, and also for letting him stay at their house between rehearsal and recording.

Matthew is an Unwritten fan turned first-time voice actor. An engineer by training, he’s inspired by the artistic creativity of the DWM writers, cast, and crew. He wishes you a pleasant stay at The Mental Rehabilitation Center of Middle Ohio.

Fueled with the zest of a cold Dr. Pepper and inspired by her passion for introversion and feminism, Cari was excited to enter the world of DWM as an intern and fan. A writer herself, she is overjoyed to create additional content to allow fans to savor the personalities of the brilliant characters and challenge themselves to combat the highlighted issues. In her spare time, Cari can consistently be found studying at the library, not partying, and feeling annoyed, so the small role of Kitty was the perfect place for her to insert her own voice into the show — literally. Her other interests include horror movies, sleeping, and trying to read several books at the same time.

A writer herself, she is overjoyed to create additional content to allow fans to savor the personalities of the brilliant characters and challenge themselves to combat the highlighted issues. In her spare time, Cari can consistently be found studying at the library, not partying, and feeling annoyed, so the small role of Kitty was the perfect place for her to insert her own voice into the show — literally. Her other interests include horror movies, sleeping, and trying to read several books at the same time.

Amanda Dee is a writer/editor/apparition currently inhabiting Chicago. Holding on too firmly to a dream of becoming the next Nancy Drew, she’s asked too many questions as a journalist in Dayton over the last five years. She is also associate producer for the Moral Courage Project’s Ferguson Voices podcast. In her spare moments, she writes pieces of poems on her phone and mingles with The Weird. JoeyFerberJoey Ferber (Writer)
Joey works out of St. Louis and Dayton as a musician and freelance writer, solidifying a lifestyle that cultivates mental, physical, and musical improvement. After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Dayton in May, he has found the wonder of being on his own clock. Consistently humbled by working with outstanding musical and linguistic collaborators, Joey is infinitely grateful to work as a writer and composer for the Dayton Writers Movement—a group spawned as a college scheme to get a group of friends in the same fiction writing class. As of late, his car stereo has The Roots on repeat, making a mantra of Black Thought’s lyric, “you gotta follow where your talent take ya. You might f*** around and finally make it.”

Jenna GomesJenna Gomes (Writer)
Jenna Gomes is currently pursuing an M.A. in English from the University of Dayton. Her biggest passions are writing and acting. In the past, she has written and directed a PTSD and has written two ten-minute plays that have gone on to be performed in festivals. Her main subject of writing is always war, so Unwritten has been a welcomed challenge. She wants to give a shout out to everyone who has worked on Unwritten and to Chris Burnside, who started it all!

Cathy_100Cathy Holt (Writer)
Cathy Holt is working her way into the formidable film industry. She currently works as a production assistant and plans on directing her own films in the not-too-distant future. When she isn’t running around set, Cathy studies and writes screenplays. As an advocate and lover of the female voice, Cathy enjoys creating/reading/watching content featuring numerous complex, female characters. She hopes to someday tip the scales of inequality on the silver screen with her work.

CC HuttenCC Hutten (Writer)
CC always has a lot of tabs open on her web browser. That’s a metaphor for her attention span. However, when she can focus, she writes. Mainly about the supernatural and things that weigh heavy on her heart — and usually with a significant amount of inappropriate humor. She enjoys being outside of her comfort zone; traveling between her lives in Dayton, Nashville, and New York City; swapping gender roles from time to time; and eating pineapple and bacon pizza.

Avery HuttoAvery Hutto (Writer)
Avery Hutto is a 22-year-old studying psychology at the University of Dayton. While this is his first official publication, he hopes to create more artistic content in a variety of disciplines. When asked of his experience writing on Unwritten, Avery responded, “It was great. It was my first time in a writers’ room like that, and seeing all of our ideas meld together into this final product has been an enlightening experience.”

Grace Poppe2Grace Poppe (Writer)
Grace is a writer, photographer, and wannabe musician from Long Island, NY–but she doesn’t have enough patience to learn an instrument (oh my gawd, pass me the bagels and the pizza, hun.) She loves the members of DWM for being agents of change and spectacular human beings who spoiled her into thinking the outside world was as awesome as they are. In her spare time, she struggles to learn Spanish and beat her grandmother at Scrabble. Pls enjoy the podcast & colby jack.

TavisTavis Taylor (Writer)
Tavis Taylor is a writer originally from Pittsburgh. He went to the University of Dayton where he met the fellow writers of Unwritten and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English. Currently, he does freelance work from home in Pittsburgh and occasionally dabbles in poetry and short fiction. He doesn’t know what is in the near future for him but he anticipates writing Unwritten Season 2 and is ready to get back in the bad habit of creative writing, which at the moment is unfortunately put on hold.

Sound Engineer

DanSieversDan Sievers
Dan Sievers is a Dayton, Ohio-based musician, and producer. Growing up, he cut his musical teeth on guitar and saxophone and joined in on many area bands. A multi-instrumentalist, Sievers found himself recording all he could in his father’s home studio, and found that his love for playing music was mutual in the world of recording and production. With instruments, mixers, and microphones in hand, Sievers founded his own production company MEGA FAUNA SOUND and took on the wonderful opportunity of running the recording studio at Nucleus CoShare in Dayton. He lives on a beautiful farm with his family, just outside of Dayton.
